Vishal Veeru Devgan, Hindi: born (April 2, 1969 in New Delhi, India), popularly known as Ajay Devgan. Beginning his career as an action hero in the early 1990s, Devgan has since established himself as one of the serious actors in Bollywood. In 2008 he ventured into directing as well with U, Me Aur Hum, which saw him starring in the lead role alongside his wife, popular actress Kajol. they have one daughter named Nysa.

He made his debut in Bollywood as an action hero with “Phool Aur Kaante”. Ajay Devgan went on to win Best Debutant Award for his performance in this film. Thereafter he appeared in a number of movies as action hero.  Being the son of a fight master and fond of performing stunts, his earlier films were more of a violent nature. The trend in his career changed with two romantic comedies ‘Ishq’ (1997) and ‘Pyar To Hona Hi Thaa’ (1998). His brilliant performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ (1999) definitely was one of the main factors that contributed to the success of the film.

In real life, he is known to be a quiet person who does not like to party much. Ajay, a car enthusiast, is also a good businessman as reflected by his successful venture into film production and distribution business.
