Barbara Mori Ochoa was born on 2nd February 1978. Her father is Uruguayan-Japanese while her mother is a Mexican. Her parents divorced when she was three years old and she lived in Uruguay and Mexico. Barbara Mori has a sister Kenya and brother Kintaro.
She is been roped in for numerous commercial ads, looking at her initial images and trailers of the movie Kites. Barbara stars opposite Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan. The film is produced by Hrithik’s father Rakesh roshan. Her first acting job was in Al Norte del Corazon, North of the Heart, which was a Mexican soap opera. After this, she was involved in Mirada de Mujer and Tric Tac. Barbara Mori won the award for Best New Actress for her work in Mirada de Mujer.
Mori started to work as a model and then became a telenovela actress with TV Azteca but her big break came with the remake of the telenovela Rubí of rival network Televisa in 2004 playing the title character.
One day, while working as a waitress at the age of fourteen, fashion designer Marcos Toledo invited her to work as a model. She became independent by the age of 17 and went to live with her cousins[1]. At 19 she met actor Sergio Mayer, who would later become father to their son Sergio. They never married.
Barbara Mori was signed up for the Bollywood movie Kites (2009) with Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut. She plays the role of Natasha. Her chemistry with co-star Hrithik Roshan has made news, with rumours that it has resulted in Roshan splitting up with his wife Suzanne Khan.
